About and how this page is checked

What this site does

Promo Code Desk publishes one thing: whether a casino or sportsbook promo code actually attaches to an offer, and what the offer is worth once its conditions are read. It is written by Marlowe Quintero, who spent seven years inside promotions before writing about them.

The category needs this because a code costs nothing to republish. The typical promo-code page is an archive of strings that used to work, presented as strings that do, with no date anywhere on the page.

How a code gets published here

It is checked against the operator first. The operator's own promotions pages are the primary source. A maintained brand feed with dated rows is the second. Where they disagree, the operator wins.

The date is printed. Every offer card on this site carries the date it was verified. A code without a date is a code you cannot judge.

Unverified codes are marked, not deleted. Where other pages publish a code we could not confirm, it is shown stamped as unverified with a note on where it appears and what we found. Removing it silently would leave a reader who saw it elsewhere none the wiser.

Nothing is scored. No ratings out of ten and no star counts, because nothing was measured that would justify one.

How this site is funded

This site earns commission when a reader opens an account through a link on it. That is disclosed on every page carrying such a link.

It does not change the figures. The most commercially awkward sentence on the main page — that the casino offer needs no promo code at all — is there because it is true, and it is the opposite of what a page optimising purely for a code search would say.
